Philippe Paradis
In a few words
"May the Force be with you."
This phrase has inspired me since I was 5 years old. It embodies my desire to give hope to people — by helping them regain their strength and motivation to take control of their musculoskeletal problems. This deep need to pass on the necessary tools so that everyone can help themselves is what naturally led me to physiotherapy.
Since my master's degree, I have specialized in motor control and vestibular rehabilitation, two key approaches to optimize the treatment of concussions. My academic background in physical education (2 years) also provides me with a solid foundation in motor learning, which allows me to effectively guide people towards a lasting return to their activities.
You'll get along well with me if:
- You enjoy discussing things (I love getting to know people)
- You are curious and eager to improve yourself
- You aren't afraid of looking silly
- You like "nerdy" things (like Star Wars) and sports
I have a particular interest in:
- Persistent musculoskeletal issues
- Sports injuries, especially concussions
- Neurological or vestibular disorders

I spent two years in physical education at the University of Montreal before entering physiotherapy in the 2016-2020 cohort at the University of Montreal.
Initially, I was passionate about physiotherapy because I could combine my interest in science, sports, and my manual skills. Subsequently, the further I progressed in my studies, the more I wanted to make a difference in people's lives and enable them to achieve their goals.
- First responder course
- SMARTREHAB cervical muscle control
- X-ray prescriptions for acute cases
- Certification for peripheral manipulations, University of Montreal
- The Lumbar Spine: Movement & Loading Analysis for Motor Behavior Therapy, Sean Gibbons (October, 2024)
I love human anatomy and being able to find the source of an injury or pain. Being able to make a difference in my patients' daily lives and knowing that they have been able to do their favorite activities remains what motivates me the most.
I'm a sports enthusiast in general, but my favorite sport is hockey, which I've been playing since I was 7 years old. I also love running. I participated for 4 years in a row in the Grand défi Pierre Lavoie with the UdeM team.
I have been injured several times in my sports career; my ankles can attest to that.
- I am someone who is interested in many subjects, but I have a very nerdy side when it comes to science fiction.
- I am also passionate about traveling, and my most memorable trip will remain the one to Greece.
- I am quite superstitious, especially when it comes to hockey.
