Our story

2000

Physioactif was founded in 2000 by Sylvain St-Amour (physiotherapist and lecturer). The first clinic opened in Saint-Eustache with a small team of 3 people. Their mission was clear: to offer the best possible physiotherapy by breaking away from the traditional practice model and promoting long-term well-being rather than short-term relief. The company became one of the first private physiotherapy clinics to see only one patient at a time.

2005

With science and innovation always in their DNA, Diane Racette (associate physiotherapist) joined the team and the second clinic opened in Laval. Still aligned with its mission, Physioactif developed one of the first training centers for healthcare professionals.

2012

Physioactif continues to expand and now includes 3 clinics with the opening of Boisbriand. With the growth of their patient community and their team, the company brings its employees together around its mission and becomes the first private physiotherapy clinic to offer structured and paid mentorship in Quebec.

2017-2018

Taking over from Diane, Ariel Desjardins-Charbonneau (associate physiotherapist and lecturer) became a partner in 2017. The brand grew with the opening of clinics in Vaudreuil and Montreal.

The new team of partners continues to question their way of doing things in order to propel Physioactif and its team to another level.

Today and tomorrow

20 years after its creation, Physioactif is, and continues to be, a game-changer in the treatment of pain and physical problems.

Physioactif's vision is that one day patients, healthcare professionals, and the general public will see physiotherapy for what it's worth and that physiotherapists will become a reference in pain management.

It is by dedicating itself daily to improving practices, by surrounding itself with a passionate team, and by following its mission on a daily basis that Physioactif will contribute to improving the reputation of physiotherapy.

Customer satisfaction is our top priority

At Physioactif, excellence guides everything we do, but our patients are the best ones to tell you about it. Take a look at their verified reviews to get a real sense of their experience.
